This is a pretty typical romance book of a bad boy falling for a more “innocent” girl but honestly, I love this type of book. I still enjoyed it because I really do like character driven novels focused on the couple, and I’m down to try the next book in the series when it comes out.

Some we receive from the authors, some we receive from the publisher, and some we receive through a third party service like Net Galley. He even mentions at one point that their kids will be giants 😂 Considering that the vast majority of these sports romances seen to have a tiny petite FMC, this was a refreshing change.

She meets chase, having already known who he is she isn’t interested in his womanising ways but Damn she can’t deny he’s handsome and fun. Hockey romances are my favorite thing to read but Bailey is the most dull, boring thing I’ve ever encountered. I love the fact that Bailey ended up with real friends and dumped those sh*ts she surrounded herself with in the beginning. He isn’t playing to win – and when he gets a red card for a dirty foul, it looks as though it’s all over. Literally sleeping with his bestfriend/team mates gf behind his back, knowing the girl treated his sister poorly.

I picked up Enforcer by Avery Keelan and really enjoyed the writing style and characters, so I decided to pick up Offside as well. Which is kind of weird considering I got recommended it as a mix between The Deal and The Risk, which I absolutely loved. You are heartbroken about your ex, who you have a feeling might have cheated on you, moved on from the relationship quick and you are 99. SLIGHT SPOILIES] a pregnancy that isn’t talked about beyond that scene, the whole house/money situation, any of the plot lines surrounding her writing for the school publication, her giant mysterious injury (which literally isn’t actually brought up until the last 5% of the book and it’s done in such a ‘oh yeah this is what happened’ sort of way).

Mickey is alone in the locker room; she deliberates with herself about the biggest decision of her life, her career, her love - her football. It worked for me because Thomas was already changing and struggling against the person his father was shaping him up to be even before the dark moment. Bailey is smart, independent and a great person who isn’t afraid of hard work to achieve her dreams. Following a string of scandals and substandard grades, Chase is on thin ice with his teammates and tyrannical coach. The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal. So what happens when this girl comes along, turns him down and only to come back and cøckblock him later in the night. Chase is the hockey player we all hate to love, he is argumentative on the ice and loves to rile up the other players. After a chance encounter at a nightclub, the two of them form an unlikely friendship that develops into something more. Sociologists with more general interests in culture and institutional analysis might also find it useful and informative as a case study. Danny and his friends Paul and Charlotte live in an unnamed British City and are all enthusiastic followers of their football club, City F.

One of these books caught the attention of a literary agent and his first publishing contract followed in 2005. It is our intent and purpose to foster and encourage in-depth discussion about all things related to books, authors, genres, or publishing in a safe, supportive environment. As Thomas falls for Nicole, his father becomes concerned and soon Thomas has to lie about everything relating to Nicole. The way that the post dark moments were handled was interesting but I wondered if it would be offensive to others.
